zeroone: The Cultural Distribution Engine
Powering artists with a create-to-collect model. Introducing a new distribution model to digital and physical spaces. Built on an Avalanche L1
Minting artwork on zeroone is different from other digital art marketplaces. Their create-to-collect model views all users as creative contributors. Zeroone has cultivated a social landscape for artists to connect without the distortion of profit. Built on Avalanche and recently launching the Zeroone L1, their platform is defining a creative ethos for digital and physical spaces.
zeroone is designed for creators. Users publish their own artwork to collect ‘passes’, which can then be redeemed for other artists’ work. There is no other way to mint artwork. The create-to-collect model incentivizes participants to give back to the culture, powering creative distribution.
Creators can set a custom supply up to 100 units per piece and define their own secondary sale royalties. In the first month, the platform reached 250,000 mints, 150,000 transactions, and nearly 3,000 collections. Once artwork is collected, users can sell on zeroone’s secondary market. More than 50% of the artwork minted on the platform during the first month was purchased on market.zeroone.art.

zeroone’s social art movement is introducing new users to digital landscapes. 58,000 total users since ZeroOne’s launch, half of whom are interacting with blockchain for the first time. Cultures from around the globe are sharing their stories, with zeroone’s top countries being the USA, Japan, South Korea, and Iran.
In their latest update, zeroone announced ‘communities’ where users can apply to form groups with a shared location, theme, or vision. To get more information, I talked to co-founder Ludovica Rosi about the community feature. “This will unlock a new layer of interaction beyond creation and collection, that’s especially important as we bridge Web2 and Web3 users. For the first time, our users will have a space to connect, share, and collaborate. This will open the doors for brands and institutions to engage directly with trends and talents within the zeroone network.”
I asked Ludovica if zeroone features in many IRL spaces, and she responded, “Yes, we do. We always try to combine physical and digital to reflect our core value of accessibility. For example, we held an exhibition with the University of the Arts London one month ago. Since not everyone could fly in just for that, we partnered with the Digital Makers Collective to create a parallel metaverse exhibition, including a live stream of the physical show—many people joined remotely and felt truly part of the experience. We’ve done similar things in South Korea, Japan, Argentina… always aiming to blend online and offline presence.”
zeroone is defining the creative culture in digital spaces, and with their new communities feature, they team up with their user base to bring the ethos to physical spaces. It’s an exciting journey, and I look forward to seeing zeroone’s developments on Avalanche in the near future.
