Today, we are Team1 Korea, building on Avalanche's amazing success in the country and empowering the community to get involved.
Our mission is to transform Korea into a primary builder and talent hub, and to support adoption across consumer, stablecoins, payments, etc. That means real programs, real pathways, and real outcomes.
Local builder hubs, demo days, and investor connections
Technical workshops for developers
Founder support and direct access to Avalanche programs
Community meetups and social events
University tours across the region
Building the Foundation
Before launching an official Team1 chapter, we have been actively contributing to ecosystem growth and onboarding talent to Avalanche.
500+ builders and 12 teams onboarded through Demo Days
200+ developers activated across university tours
80+ founders connected at founder connect events
2,000+ attendees at side events during Korea Blockchain Week
Team1 Korea now runs across six verticals: Operations, DevRel, Growth, Creative, Research, and External Relations. Some are engineers at companies you would recognize. Some run their own startups. Others are students leading their university blockchain clubs. Our members are busy, and they joined Team1 Korea out of love for the game.
Korea Is Already Onchain
The country operates at a level many markets are still only discussing. Real production infrastructure is live and moving real money.
To put it plainly, Korea is already running production-level onchain systems, while other communities are still chasing vanity metrics.
Our Strategy: Build the Standard
Our north star for Korea is simple: make this the place where builders ship real products on Avalanche.
We are here to support the people building on the network, and every program we run has to move someone closer to that. If it doesn’t, we don’t run it.
That work starts with our culture, long before anyone writes a line of code. The AMRC, our Avalanche Morning Run Club, meets on weekend mornings in Seoul. People show up, run, and grab a coffee. A clear head and a strong body make for sharper builders, and many of the people building with us today started their journey with AMRC.
After this, it’s time to get our hands on the keyboard. Builder workshops run on a regular schedule, and each one ends with participants shipping something real instead of sitting through a lecture.
We are translating the Avalanche Builder Hub into Korean to eliminate language barriers that impede deployments, and we will publish tutorials and research in Korean so our developers can learn from the best available material in their native language.
And what gets built here should not stay here. Through the Team1 global network, Korean builders now plug into chapters across the US, Brazil, Vietnam, Türkiye, and India. These networks provide mentorship and collaboration on a global scale, further solidifying the successful path ahead.
Measure What Gets Built
Team1 Korea is for people who want their work to exist after the room empties.
We will measure our success through our expanding network and the quality of products we build with it.
Welcome to Team1 Korea.
