Animoca Brands signed a partnership to accelerate ecosystem growth. The C-Chain hit a record 20.2M weekly transactions while raising its gas target to 4M per second.
But March’s defining story was Team1’s explosive global expansion. Team1 USA, Team1 Vietnam, and Team1 India launched, building strategic infrastructure for grassroots adoption from America to Asia.
Here’s a full rundown on everything that made March a global expansion month for Avalanche.
March marked Team1’s most aggressive expansion yet. The global network of builders, developers, creatives, gamers, and dedicated Avalanche supporters expanded rapidly, with the official launch of three new chapters: Team1 India, Team1 Vietnam, and Team1 USA. Regional leads and members poured consistent effort into planning and execution, creating meaningful spaces for connection and collaboration across continents.
In March, they had a vibrant community meetup in Izmir, Turkey. Local founders, startups, and Avalanche enthusiasts gathered to share ideas and explore ecosystem opportunities. The energy from those conversations flowed directly into upcoming collaborations with partners like Bitget Turkey and KAST.
In Vietnam, the network officially welcomed Team1VN and hosted a lively community meetup. The momentum continued the following day with the Builders Cup football tournament.
In the United States, Team1USA hosted their first major meetup in Los Angeles alongside OKX. The team also supported the Penn Blockchain Conference Builder Night in Philly, further expanding the US presence. The turnout and energy showed how quickly a solid home for builders and the community is taking shape stateside.
In Asia, the Team1 AI Connect event in Shanghai united AI entrepreneurs, investors, and developers in partnership with Fudan University and AWS. The first Global AI Hackathon was announced.
Builder momentum stayed strong in Thailand with the first Builder and Developer Workshop in Bangkok, organized together with THBUIDL. This launched a series of hands-on workshops all leading up to a demo day where participants will showcase what they created on Avalanche.
Team1 backed vibrant community initiatives including, $2,500 worth of AVAX to the AVAX Bingo Season 1 prize pool, and announced sponsorship of the Hashcash Hackathon.
Also, In South Africa, the first Team1 Builders Dinner in Johannesburg created an intimate space for local founders and startups.
The scale of activity showed clearly in the attendance numbers. The Team1 Connect side event at ETHCC in Cannes saw 1,200+ registrations. In the Philippines, a series of university events drew impressive crowds with about 600+ cumulative attendance plus additional events pulling in 150+ attendees each. Further university and community gatherings in Pakistan, New York, East Africa and globally added dozens to over a hundred participants at each stop. These figures represent the real work regional leads and members invested to open doors for new builders everywhere.
The growth seen in March stems from months of preparation, relationship building, and a shared belief in Avalanche’s potential. The Team1 global community achieved a great deal and looks ahead with even greater excitement.
