A New Era Begins: Team1 Türkiye Is Officially Here
With over 35 events and 22 university relationships already established, Team1 Türkiye is transitioning into an official Team1 chapter to further support the country’s vibrant builder community.
Türkiye has one of the most active crypto communities in the world. High adoption rates, a young and tech-savvy population, and a strong entrepreneurial spirit have positioned Türkiye as a serious player in Web3. To maximize these strategic advantages, Team1 is officially launching Team1 Türkiye, a dedicated chapter focused on developing the next generation of talent and business on Avalanche.
Real innovation requires sustainable ecosystems with serious builders and founders committed to shipping products that work.
Team1 Türkiye exists to create and nurture these systems. Our mission is to grow the local Avalanche community, support developers, and cultivate the next generation of Web3 projects emerging from Türkiye. We will accomplish our mission through events, university collaborations, builder-focused programs, and above all, commitment to the people who will shape what comes next on Avalanche.
The Movement Behind our Mission
Team1 is a global community program built to support the growth of the Avalanche ecosystem. It brings together developers, community leaders, content creators, and Web3 enthusiasts to expand Avalanche’s reach through grassroots work.
Today, Team1 operates in 30 countries. Each runs events, educates developers, creates content, and collaborates on ecosystem projects designed to strengthen local communities by connecting them to global opportunities. These regional chapters are focused on eliminating speculation and shipping real products.
Two Years of Laying the Foundation
Prior to becoming an official Team1 chapter, Team1 Türkiye was already onboarding talent into the Avalanche ecosystem. We organized 35+ events across different cities, bringing together developers, students, and Web3 enjoyers at community meetups, workshops, Build Games events, and conference side events. For many developers and students, these events served as the first real introduction to building on Avalanche. And for some, they represented the starting point for projects that are still growing.
We also built meaningful relationships across the Turkish blockchain landscape. Collaborations with Chainlink TR, Bitget, OKX TR, Pangolin, ParibuHub, Garanti BBVA Kripto, Misyon Bank, Dexalot, and Kast Card helped to expand the community’s reach and connect builders to the broader ecosystem. This is in addition to our relationships with local communities such as Koza DAO, Blokverse, and Dogu Blockchain.
Our Progress So Far:
35+ events with 3,850 attendees hosted across Türkiye, from Istanbul to emerging tech cities
22 active university collaborations, bringing Avalanche into classrooms across the country
10 collaborations with leading Web3 projects, exchanges, and financial institutions
Hands-on engagement with developers and students at every stage of their journey
The People Driving it Forward
Team1 Türkiye consists of a diverse group of people who share a clear, common goal. Our team includes developers, community leaders, content creators, designers, and researchers who bring technical expertise and genuine community engagement to every endeavor. 20 active contributors are currently building, organizing, managing, and growing the Team1 Türkiye chapter, with plans to steadily grow.
Built to Last
The work we did over the last two years was the foundation. What comes next is about building on it with purpose.
Team1 Türkiye will expand its university programs and create more structured opportunities for students who want to move from theory into hands-on development. Developer workshops and tech events will become more frequent and more focused. New Team1 Türkiye memberships will open up to grow the local team, community meetups will push into new cities, and fresh university partnerships will bring Avalanche closer to the next wave of developers entering the space. Plus, we are working toward a startup-friendly ecosystem that gives early-stage Web3 ventures in Türkiye the tools and connections they need to grow.
Beyond our borders, our goal is to deepen collaboration with the Team1 global network, ensuring Turkish builders have access to international opportunities, mentors, and programs as the Avalanche ecosystem continues to scale.
Team1 Türkiye believes that the future of Web3 will be shaped by the people who build it. Türkiye’s youthful population, entrepreneurial mindset, and developer talent sets us up for success. We are here to channel these advantages into real products, connect local builders to the global Avalanche ecosystem, and ensure that what comes out of Türkiye makes an impact that can’t be ignored.
